HouseHoot is operated by Fahid Digital Venture, a software studio based in the United Arab Emirates, which is the controller of your data for this service.

You can play HouseHoot without an account. We store a temporary play session and your in-game name and avatar so the game works. If you choose to sign in with Google, we save your basic profile and your game history. We do not sell your data and we do not run advertising trackers.

• Anonymous play data: a temporary session token, your room code, and the display name and avatar you choose. This lets you join and play a room.
• Optional Google account: if you sign in, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google, and we store your game results (games played, wins, scores) so your history follows you.
• Gameplay content: answers, votes and choices you submit during a game, which are shown to other players in your room and discarded when the room ends.
• Basic technical data: standard request information (such as IP address) used by our infrastructure provider for security and rate-limiting.

We use this information only to run the service: to create and join rooms, run games, keep them fair (rate-limiting and abuse prevention), and, if you are signed in, to save your stats and avoid repeating questions you have already seen.

Some games generate questions using Cloudflare Workers AI. These prompts are generated from the game topic and your content-mode setting (family or adult). We do not send your personal information to generate them.

• Cloudflare: hosting, database, and the AI used to generate questions.
• Google: only if you choose to sign in, to authenticate you and provide your basic profile.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.

Active rooms and their gameplay content expire automatically (typically within hours). If you sign in, your account profile and game history are kept until you ask us to delete them or you sign out and stop using the service.

You can play entirely anonymously, sign out at any time, and request access to or deletion of any account data we hold. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as GDPR or CCPA. To make a request, contact us at the email below.

HouseHoot is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
